Austral Pumps have been involved in the manufacture of Pumps and Pump Parts in Australia for over 50 years. We have a specialized team who offer a full on-site refurbishment service along with fabrication, blast and paint facilities to return your pump with a new lease on life.. With an on-site technical facility, we hold up to date drawings of all the pumps we sell and service. We strive to ensure that the quality of all parts are equal to or better than those offered by the OEM’s. All parts undergo rigorous QA testing. Thorough QA checks are carried out during manufacturing and then further QA procedures when entering our store. All parts are visually checked and all critical machine tolerances are rechecked by our Engineering staff to ensure their correctness. These checks are done using various micrometres and measuring instruments including laser measuring equipment. All White Iron (Chrome Alloy) castings are checked by spectrograph to ensure correctness of composition at the foundry before pours are done. All White Iron parts are checked for hardness by our Engineering staff and periodically checked by an independent testing body which is NATA accredited. Our Chrome Alloy parts generally test around 5% harder than the OEM parts. Our commitment to quality means we are continually working on improving our products and are currently working with one of the leading Australian Universities to introduce an improved elastomer product.
